Focusing on the theme of the meeting, alumni engaged in lively discussions on various issues, including the international situation, industry prospects, and enterprise development, offering opinions and suggestions based on their work experience. He Wei, the school's first honorary alumnus and chairman of Sichuan Weiwo Dun Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd., shared his understanding of the current industry situation after years of work: "The service levels of domestic oilfield service companies vary widely and each has its own characteristics. As alliance enterprises, we should integrate resources to create the unique features and highlights of the alliance enterprises." Xu Dinglin, from the Class of 1997, majoring in petroleum engineering, and general manager of Sichuan Hengmingze Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Co., Ltd., stated: "After years of dedicated research and numerous experiments, our research results, once launched, were imitated within months or even one to two years, leading to significant price reductions. Intellectual property protection is particularly important at this stage; core technologies and product trademarks are the core competitiveness of enterprises."
After listening to many alumni entrepreneurs' descriptions of the current industry situation and their company's challenges, alumni with years of experience actively spoke up, offering suggestions for enterprise development based on their long-term experience in the energy sector—"In the face of a sudden industry downturn, we should focus on internal cultivation, increase investment in scientific research and development, and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises; improve refined personnel management to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement, thereby reducing expenses; and we can try to work together to expand overseas markets." For veteran expert Jiang Zhiyong, who has worked in the energy industry for over 30 years, he hopes to see more alumni science and technology enterprises emerge from adversity. Chen Lifeng, alumnus of the Class of 1981, majoring in geology, and chairman of Sichuan Chuanyou Natural Gas Technology Co., Ltd., said: "I'm retiring in a few months. I've spent most of my life researching the natural gas field and have participated in many research projects related to oil and natural gas. I understand that every project is crucial to the enterprise. However, the 'Wenzhou model' in the business model, where a large project or large order can be completed by multiple alumni enterprises, allows for resource sharing, which is precisely the advantage of our alliance enterprises." Chen Ping, alumnus of the Class of 1977, majoring in drilling, former vice-ministerial level investigator of the school, president of the Sichuan Alumni Association, and chairman of the Global Entrepreneur Development Alliance, pointed out: "The school has hundreds or thousands of scientific research patents every year, but they still need further development before they can be used in actual enterprise production. Alumni enterprises can select patents useful to their enterprises for funding, transforming scientific research patents into practical results, and achieving a win-win situation for universities and enterprises." As the exchange deepened, alumni from various industries offered suggestions and advice, contributing their expertise to the discussion.

The concept of mutual support and win-win cooperation is excellent and worth learning. However, I believe that another point is equally important: the quality of being kind and honest. With this premise, we can fully utilize our respective strengths, strengthen service interaction and mutual assistance among alliance enterprises in various fields, and promote the common development of enterprises."

Zeng Bin's Speech
Liang Tian, alumnus of the Class of 1988, majoring in engineering management, and practicing in law; Tang Nianqiang, alumnus of the Class of 1995, majoring in economic law; and Zhang Hongjian, alumnus of the Class of 2001, majoring in law, all mentioned in their speeches that they hope to provide legal services to alumni in areas such as corporate legal services, intellectual property protection, and energy law. After carefully listening to the alumni's speeches, Li Dehai, a member of the school's Standing Committee and vice president, who was invited to attend the meeting, emotionally stated: "The school attaches great importance to alumni work and actively provides a stage, platform, and support for the development of alumni's careers and lives. Alumni work accurately identifies the needs of alumni and should form a large-scale alumni work pattern led by the school, with colleges as the main body, departments participating, and all staff taking action. We need to systematically consider, have a precise vision, a professional team, and professional level to enhance the connotation and value of alumni work, helping alumni enterprises to flourish and alumni to grow and succeed."
