From October 19-20, the "Science and Technology Innovation China ECF International Shale Gas Forum 2022, 12th Asia-Pacific Shale Oil and Gas & Unconventional Energy Summit," hosted by the Shanghai United Unconventional Energy Research Center and the Energy Economics Research Professional Committee of the Shanghai Economic Society, concluded successfully in Shanghai. At the meeting, under the witness of Chen Xin, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and Academician He Jishan, the first technology service team in the unconventional energy field in China was officially established, spearheaded by the Shanghai United Unconventional Energy Research Center. This forum attracted industry experts and leaders from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Consultation and Research Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Oil and Gas Survey Center of the China Geological Survey, CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, and other companies. Nearly 250 companies and over 1,000 people participated online and offline, including representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, Russia, and other countries, as well as major domestic shale oil, shale gas companies, oil service companies and equipment companies, and financial institutions. The summit, themed "Shaping the Energy Future, Thriving in a Low-Carbon Economy," aims to explore how unconventional energy sources such as shale oil and gas can achieve higher efficiency and lower-cost, high-quality development through technological, management, and mechanism innovation to adapt to the future low-carbon world, while ensuring national energy security.
The ECF International Shale Gas Forum is the most influential and well-known international cooperation platform for unconventional energy in the Asia-Pacific region.
